We chose Gut Hungenbach for a family gathering. We were about forty adults and children, both from Germany and the US, spending three fabulous days here. The team from Gut Hungenbach spoiled us with their services from morning to late night. Breakfasts served by the local team were excellent and plentiful, for the evening the hired caterers were outstanding and with the help of a DJ we were able to party until the wee hours during our main event. We all stayed at the Gut Hungenbach and enjoyed the comfort of their stylish and comfortable rooms. We highly recommend booking Gut Hungenbach for events and let their team organize it for you.

We stayed at Gut Hungenbach with a group of about 30 people for a family reunion (a German-American family). The location is newly renovated (partially still under construction) and there is a beautiful balance between historic and modern. There are multiple buildings with hotel rooms, patios, event spaces, etc. There has been great attention to detail in the renovation and the hotel rooms were extremely comfortable and well designed. A true highlight was a lovely dinner on our last evening catered by the restaurant and the food was amazing. Friendly staff, great service and a great place for an event. It is out in the countryside, about 45 minutes from Cologne and a wonderful place for a getaway. Thanks for the great time!

The historic location makes this place beautiful. Since a couple of months the main part of the hotel is totally restaurated and re-opened. The rooms and restaurants are good places to stay. Although you're are in the middle of the 'Bergischen Land' , in beautifull surroundings, Cologne is also a 30 minutes drive away. Just give it a try and enjoy the services of Marcel and his staff.

Good food, nice staff, quiet area, traditional, pretty buildings. However the old rooms have no isolation, thus it is challenging to visit and stay during winter or cold season.
